One space; two people: a man and woman. Two strands of consciousness and time become entwined. In the first, a mother and son are connected in a loving game. In the second, her body goes into decline and she is drawn off to the side, their hands slipping from one another’s. This film explores the boundaries between life and death, body and soul, and reality and imagination.

“My experience with Point Taken has been an inspiration in my film work. I’m now considering devoting a day of rehearsals with the actors exclusively to movement, and invite Jakop Ahlbom to join us. It’s possible to create tension between characters – desire, eroticism, disgust, etc – through just the movement of hand or chin, through timing, mirroring, distance; dance. Less talking, more feeling. It’s prompted me to work with my actors in a different way.”
